Monthly Membership Meeting (April, 2026)

Jeff Wasielewski, with the UF/IFAS extension, had to cancel his speaking engagement with the Marathon Garden Club secondary to a work scheduling conflict. I am happy to announce that Norm Phillips has graciously agreed to speak to us on April 17th. He will sharing his expertise on the care of the desert rose. The title of his talk is “Desert Rose: The Perfect Potted.”

Norm and his wife Betsy have been Garden Club members since 2003. For years, they owned and operated a landscaping business in Marathon. Norm and Betsy have tirelessly helped maintain our lovely club gardens. Since retiring, Norm has become an avid desert rose hobbyist. He will be sharing what he has learned with us. You don’t want to miss his presentation.
