We are proud to announce the newly formed MGC Butterfly Committee. This committee will oversee our new Monarch Certified Butterfly Sanctuary program. With the assistance of MGC, Marathon residents will be encouraged to plant monarch friendly gardens to aid the butterflies in their migrations through the Florida Keys (two times per year).

The are 6 members of the team: Phyllis Schewe, Janice Pfeffer, Betsy Phillips, Suzy Curry, Cheryl Burke and Shirley Singleton.

The Crane Point Museum, run by Charlotte Quinn (on right), received the Marathon Garden Club Monarch Sanctuary Certification on 1/21/2021. Suzy Curry of the Marathon Garden Club Butterfly Committee presented the award.
